A small firm, deliberately

We keep the practice small so that the counsel who takes your first call is the one who drafts, negotiates and, if it comes to it, argues your case.

HSK Prawnicy Sawiński Knioła works with company owners, boards and in-house teams across Wielkopolska and the rest of Poland. Most of our work is ordinary business law done carefully: the shareholders' agreement that anticipates the disagreement, the supply contract that survives a change of management, the dismissal that is still lawful eighteen months later in front of a labour court.

We are comfortable on both sides of a matter — advisory work when there is time to plan, and litigation when there is not. Clients tell us the difference is the plain-language explanation of what their options actually cost, in money and in time, before they commit to one.

Instructions are accepted in Polish and English, and correspondence with foreign parent companies and counterparties is part of our routine work.

Practice areas

Six areas cover almost everything we are instructed on. If your matter sits between two of them, say so in your enquiry and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right firm.

What working with us is like

Four commitments we hold ourselves to on every instruction, and which you should hold us to.

  • You deal with the partner

No handing the file down the line. The counsel who scopes your matter stays on it from first call to final document.

  • Fees agreed before work starts

A fixed fee where the work can be defined, an hourly rate with an estimated cap where it cannot. No invoice should ever surprise you.

  • Answers in plain language

Advice you can act on and repeat to your board, with the legal reasoning behind it available whenever you want it.

  • Reply within one business day
